Hehro!

so.. i made the biggest bag ive ever made. its for myself. i will make more, however, for you! i want to make a website. i have alot of ideas for it and i dont want to deal with it, but i also dont want to pay anyone to do it for me since i am sure i could do it myself. ughhh exhausting. so many projects in my future. and current dillema- how to make the bag masculine. solution? knitting with hemp.
i made a bag for my mom- hope she likes it. she surprised me the other day with a bag of yarn. FINALLY we have found a connection. rather than buy me clothing that not only do i dislike, but also does not fit me, she can buy me something i like. love it.
hope to see you soon on soulbabies.com!

i guess what irritates me so much about the hippie fest is i just dont see why you have to smoke pot and look like a hippy to care about the environment. ok, so i dont shower every day. and i dont often brush my hair. but i have incredible standards and cares.

i am working on a new hat design.
designed it myself, obvs, since i have no idea about patterns. its similar to the bags i make. i think its going to be awesome.
went to a pretty lame peace festival at centennial park, by doing so i became looked at as 'hippy' for the day because of my beliefs and dress. i didnt like it. it got political and wrong and compartmentalized. anywho, i usually dont like tye die. i think its tacky. but there of course was a tie-dye t-shirt booth at the peace festival. one of the ladys at it like the hat i was wearing and asked if i made it. she wanted me to make her one and offered trade. i was like oh crap i dont want to trade i want money cause i dont like tie-dye. but there were a set of shirts that i actually really did like, this very unique pattern ive never seen before and i was thinking it would look good on a dress. so i told her which ones i liked, and she said they were the ones she made. there were about 5 different kinds of tie-dye and 5 different ladies.
awesome how stuff works out like that.
so i gave her my phone number and email, and i really hope i hear from her.

went out to eat wearing a hat i made.
i was knitting waiting for the food to come.
reminded myself of the emo kids in highschoool.

BUT. two different people asked me to make them hats because i was knitting, and because i was wearing one i made. and one of the guys has a daughter, and he wants me to make her a hat and a purse.
he told me he made like $200 selling ponchos at bonaroo last year.
i <3 knitting.
i left my needles at ryans. so i cant do it right now. aghh.

hm

i think this blog sohuldnt be just about knititng/yarn, it should be about all of my art. but the whole reason i even started this was because i wanted to start a journal about how knitting has affected my life, but now i think it sohuld be about how art in general has affected my life.

yarn art did actually make it to soulpancake, and people participated by creating their own.
there was something incredibly surreal and profiting about seeing solid proof that i inspired people to make their own art. BECAUSE EVERYONE IS AN ARTIST.
i dont even know what to say. i want more of that, though.
